The Broadcast Communications Division of Harris has received several awards from the Beijing International Radio and TV Exhibition (BIRTV 2005) and from IBC2005.
At IBC2005, Harris was given a STAR Award from TV Technology-Europe for its Harris Atlas TVU-D665 DVB-H/DVB-T transposer/gap-filler. The same product won the Product Award at BIRTV. The Harris Atlas TVU-D665 DVB-H/DVB-T transposer/gap-filler features Harris' unique digital IF (Intermediate Frequency) filtering that eliminates cross-channel interference--a problem that regularly occurs when adjacent high-power channels operate within the same coverage area.
At IBC, Cable & Satellite International awarded Harris its Product of the Year award for the company's DVB-T Liquid-Cooled Output Filter. The filter uses the Harris DVB-T transmitter's existing liquid cooling system to dissipate the head build-up from filter operation.
