Domino’s, the ubiquitous pizza delivery chain and ever-present TV advertiser, says the night before Thanksgiving is one of its five busiest days of the year. Franchises are gearing up to dole out more than 1.1 million pizzas, about 50 percent more than usual for a Wednesday.
This will be the first such holiday that Domino’s has a deal with TiVo by which broadband TiVo subscribers can order a pizza with their remote control. The company also has something it calls “Pizza Tracker” that keeps customers posted on the location of the subcompact sedan carrying their order.
Dominos other big days: Super Bowl Sunday, Halloween, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
