FOX Sports video to serve as centerpiece of FOXsports.com, MSN

FOXsports.com and the Microsoft MSN network will collaborate in creating an online destination with significant video offerings, including unprecedented access to FOX Sports and FOX Sports Net programming.

The new alliance will make FOXsports.com the primary sports content destination on the MSN network and provide its users with coverage of key events during the coming year. The collaboration also includes editorial content and fantasy games, and information from its partnership with The Sporting News.

FOXsports.com on MSN will be an exclusive non-subscription destination for fans to get a wide range of video content generated by FOXsports.com. Video sports content will be available via MSN Video using Microsoft Windows Media 9 Series.

The site also will draw from the many FOX Regional Sports Report bureaus around the nation. FOXsports.com on MSN also will provide users with more than 100 full-length classic college football and basketball games.

The site will offer exclusive content from FOX Sports shows, including behind the scenes video from the “Best Dam Sports Show Period” and “FOX NFL Sunday,” and opinions from FOX Sports and FOX Sports Net personalities. It also will deliver integrated interactive features with features such as the virtual coach, virtual manager and virtual crew chief.

The collaboration will allow users to customize their visit by offering highlights, scores and statistics of sporting events happening in their region. Among the many co-branded personalization features is a customized playlist on MSN Video allowing fans to watch highlights, commentaries and clips of their favorite teams.
