Food Network Spices Up New Facility with SSL Console

The Food Network recently added a Solid State Logic C100 digital broadcast console to its facility as part of its new corporate and production facility on 15th Avenue in New York City.

The C100 has 32 faders on the console surface for shows such as "Emeril Live" The network "kicked it up a notch" with 14 RF mics, 10 audience mics and mic for a full band, according to Brian McNamee, audio engineer for the network.

"The console allows us to create EQ settings for the individual actors, add signal dynamics processing and manage and entire complex setup," said McNamee.

The Food Network reaches 85 million U.S. households and approximately 5 million surfers visit the Web site.
