Federal Regulators to Hold Panel at NAB2002

FCC Commissioners Kathleen Abernathy, Michael Copps and Kevin Martin and National Telecommunications and Information Administration chief Nancy Victory of the Department of Commerce will participate in "The Regulatory Face-off," one of the panel discussions planned for NAB2002 in Las Vegas.

The panelists will discuss many of the issues facing today's broadcasters, including DTV and radio, ownership and equal-opportunity employment.

The discussion is part of the NAB Business Law & Regulation Conference, which will cover subjects related to business plans and regulations. The conference includes panels and events designed to educate broadcasters on the regulatory process. Other topics to be covered include ownership regulation, employment law, content/advertising rules, political broadcasting and new procedures.
