Eyeheight introduces new legaliser

Eyeheight has introduced its third-generation legaliser.

Eyeheight's legalEyes has an optional FP-9 front panel that enables front-panel adjustment of clipping and soft-clip level, luma and chroma gain and black level.

legalEyes meets EBU specification R103-2000 covering RGB color space and luminance levels. The front panel enables up to eight predefined settings to be recalled, ensuring fast and easy operation. Occupying a half-rack-width 1 RU Eyeheight Mini-Box, legalEyes employs full 10 bit signal processing of the 270 megabit/s SDI input signal.

An optional FP-9 front panel enables front-panel adjustment of clipping and soft-clip level, luma and chroma gain and black level. A one-touch R103-2000 setting optimizes the gamut specifically to the EBU recommendation. Two independent SDI outputs are provided with the standard model. An input loop output additional to the 'legalise' outputs can optionally be configured as a third (legal) output.

EDH signal re-insertion is provided.

legalEyes is compatible with Eyeheight's geNETics range of digital infrastructure equipment for broadcast and postproduction applications.

It is available now.
