As a promotion to accompany the March 23 ramp-up of PlayStation 3 in the United Kingdom and other major European markets, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe is making available a downloadable version of the popular Gran Turismo series of video games, "Gran Turismo HD Concept." It will be available online via the PlayStation network.
PS3 consoles are equipped with internal Blu-ray Disc drives. The HD version of Gran Turismo will be enhanced with 1080p graphics for gamers wishing to see vivid details (assuming they have HD-worthy screens, and preferably with 1080p native display) according to HDTVForum.org.
Gran Turismo HD Concept allows gamers to race through the Swiss Alps while an online timer keeps track of all gamers' individual times and other racing data.
