Euphonix Launches 37-City 'Max Air' Broadcast Tour

Euphonix plans to launch "one of the biggest marketing and sales efforts Euphonix has ever put on," to promote its new Max Air digital audio broadcast console. The company is sending a specially commissioned demonstration vehicle on a tour through 37 cities, starting in Minneapolis on Sept. 25 and ending at NAB2003 in Las Vegas.

The vehicle will be outfitted with a 96-channel Max Air mixing system and is set up to simulate a local TV station digital audio control room. The truck will visit up to five stations in each city, and show operators, management and technicians the features that digital audio and video can bring to local TV operations.

The Max Air Broadcast Tour will also be present at Society of Broadcast Engineers local chapter meetings in most cities. Euphonix, and in some cases the tour sponsors, will give a short presentation on the transition to digital. Sponsors include Accom, Miranda, 360 Systems, Dolby Laboratories and TC Electronic.

The tour schedule and an SBE meeting calendar can be found at http://www.euphonix.com/tour.
