E.U. Commissioner for Information Society and Media Viviane Reding will present the Keynote Address at DVB World 2008 in Budapest, Hungary, 12–14 March.
The Information Society and Media portfolio includes new information technologies such as broadcasting, mobile and Internet technologies.
Reding has a long and distinguished career in European politics and has been instrumental in influencing E.U. attitudes to the regulation and standardisation of digital communications generally including the audio/visual sector.
