One way to see whether consumers want more HD programs, something the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) says is vital to stimulate digital TV set sales, is to ask them.
EchoStar Communications, parent company to satellite TV provider DISH Network, is asking its subscribers whether they want to see more HDTV programming. In an online survey, the company is testing the waters to see who is watching, what they want to watch and how much they might pay for it.
