Disney’s Mark Zoradi to offer keynote

What’s it like to be responsible for a major motion picture studio as the next big wave in production and distribution technology takes hold?

Find out at the NAB Show Sunday, April 19, when Mark Zoradi, president of Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Group, discusses the impact and ramifications of digital 3-D technology during a keynote speech. Zoradi will offer firsthand insights and news about digital 3-D as well as 3-D delivery across multiple platforms.

Zoradi will speak during the NAB Show’s Digital Cinema Summit, "3-D Cinema & Beyond: Lens to Living Room." The summit, April 18-19, is being put together in partnership with the Society of Motion Picture Television Engineers (SMPTE).

In today’s challenging economic climate, it is particularly important for entertainment companies, broadcasters and content creators to develop strategies that help drive revenue across multiple platforms and channels, Zoradi said. “As a leading creator of digital 3-D content, we are committed to exploring and utilizing new opportunities,” he said.

Zoradi, who oversees the worldwide distribution and marketing of all Walt Disney Studios films including Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Walt Disney Pictures and Touchstone Pictures, has played a pivotal role in the studio's box office success worldwide, which saw global gross revenues last year grow to $2.4 billion.

Zoradi's 29-year career at Disney has spanned television, home entertainment and film businesses.
