DIRECTV chooses Harris NetVX contribution HD video networking
By TVTechnology published
Harris is now delivering NetVX HD video networking equipment to DIRECTV for HD contribution encoding and transport.
DIRECTV began using NetVX transport systems in 2005 for backhaul of local market programming content. The NetVX design allows a broadcaster to install multiple encoders in a single chassis with a common signal output, providing an all-in-one device for encoding, multiplexing and network adaptation.
NetVX HD video encoders are available for MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 requirements.
