Digital signage network set to debut in Mexico

Satellite Store Link is launching a digital signage network in Mexico. The organization will begin with an initial deployment of 1200 locations throughout Mexico that will display information and advertisements. The order is valued at $3.2 million.

The technology will be provided by Wegener, which already has an international footprint with deployments in retail environments for video, audio and digital signage. Wegener’s digital signage solution for Satellite Store Link includes iPump Media Servers, IP-based peripheral decoders and Compel network control for live or store-forward content.

Programming content for individual retail departments, regions or stores can be distributed and updated by central network operators. To ensure reliable, full-time operations, Wegener leverages broadcast expertise and advanced network control capabilities to remotely control each receiver. Employees at display locations do not have to manage or interact with the receivers — functions and upgrades are scheduled and managed remotely from the Compel network control system at the central operations center. Wegener iPump video decoders are optimized for high-quality video splicing between advertisements to provide a professional viewing experience.
