This week's Digital Deadline story is "Geek Corner: Warning: Old and Busted" by Wyatt Gallagher in the University of Las Vegas newspaper, The Rebel Yell. Gallagher describes the House bill that would warn consumers buying analog TV sets that analog broadcasting is going to be turned off in 2009.
He points out that HDTV and digital TV are not synonymous, but cautions "most digital TV is going to consist of HDTV broadcasts within a year of the big over-the-air switch."
