Crystal Vision Indigo frames receive praise at IBC2003

Crystal Vision’s Indigo frames received an enthusiastic response at IBC2003.

The frames, which recently began shipping, have a stylish new design and offer easier access and maintenance. They feature a compact rear section for simplified wiring into a rack, a new front panel hinge mechanism, two accessible front fans, improved connection to control systems using CAT-5 cabling and sophisticated system status reporting.

Like Crystal Vision's previous frames system, Indigo has one of the highest packing densities available (12 boards in 2U, six in 1U and two in a desktop box) and the ability to mix audio and video modules in the same frame.

Crystal Vision also showed System Builder, a new Web-based product selector tool. Designed to take away the potential headache of selecting interface products, this step-by-step software makes it easy for customers to find the ideal Crystal Vision processing board, sub PCB, rear module, frame and accessories for their application. System Builder will be available at the main Crystal Vision website in November.

Crystal Vision also launched:

  • TANDEM-110, a dual audio embedder/de-embedder that now includes gain controls;
  • TANDEM-300, an audio embedder and processor that allows audio to be selected from an unparalleled variety of sources;
  • SYNNER144, a combined synchronizer, tracking audio delay and embedder/de-embedder that allows audio and video to be timed to the local syncs and embedded or de-embedded within a single board;
  • GPI36, a module that extends the use of the Statesman PC Control System. The card lets the Statesman simulate physical GPI LEDs and switches and control Crystal Vision products with GPI interfaces.
