Comcast agrees to carry ION Media Network affiliates

ION Media Networks has reached a distribution agreement with Comcast Communications, which assures that the cable television provider will carry ION’s flagship network, ION Television, and its digital networks, qubo and ION Life.

The ION Media Network (formerly known as Paxson Communications) operates one of the nation’s largest independent station groups, with more than 60 television stations in most major U.S. markets. Comcast has agreed to carry digital versions of those channels, once they make the switch from analog.

ION’s qubo network is a multilingual children’s channel focusing on literacy and positive values. ION Life promotes the active lifestyle and wellness through a variety of health-related programs.

The ION Media Network recently became a member of the Association for Maximum Service Television (MSTV), a nonprofit trade association of local broadcast television stations.
