Chyron sells graphics to Bayerische Rundfunk
By TVTechnology published
Bayerische Rundfunk (BR) in Munich, Germany, has placed an order for 25 Chyron Duet LEX graphics systems and 50 Lyric plug-ins for Avid NLEs. BR is one of the largest affiliates of German public service broadcaster ARD.
BR, which broadcasts programming via terrestrial, cable and satellite, is replacing its existing character generators with Chyron’s Duet LEX models. The Duets are a mixture of single- and dual-channel configurations and are supplied with Chyron’s Lyric software tool.
The 50 Lyric PlugIns enable Avid operators to dynamically create text, graphics and templates from directly within the Avid user interface to produce lower-thirds, rolls, crawls and animations, which then become components of the Avid timeline.
Graphic content may be shared seamlessly between the online Duet LEX systems and the offline Avid editors.
