CEA to Host HDTV Update Meetings, Promote Sales
By TVTechnology published
The Consumer Electronics Association will conduct update meetings on HDTV in five markets this fall to bring retailers, broadcasters and cable representatives up-to-date on the HDTV transition.
The meetings will provide a national perspective on where the transition is heading and give local parties an opportunity to discuss ways of working together to achieve more consumer awareness. Topics to be covered include HDTV sales results and projections and market research data compiled by the CEA.
The five markets were selected for their strong retail HDTV presence and breadth of DTV broadcasters. The sessions will start in Philadelphia on Sept. 18 and travel to Washington, D.C., Boston, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
