CEA To Honor 'Digital Patriots'

The Consumer Electronics Association will recognize industry and policy leaders at its Third Annual Digital Patriots Award Dinner, March 27 in Washington. The dinner will honor Michael Dell, chairman and CEO of Dell Inc. and two members of Congress--Senator John Sununu (R-NH) and Representative Zoe Lofgren (D-CA).

"The Digital Patriots Awards celebrate advances in consumer technology and honor the industry and policy leaders who allow innovation to flourish," said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of CEA. "The members of Congress who will be honored this year have pushed the envelope of innovation and have refused to settle for the status quo. Each of the 2007 Digital Patriots have shown they have a vision for the future and are willing to strive towards it."

The Digital Patriots dinner will be held during CEA's 2007 Washington Forum, a two-day event at the Ronald Reagan and International Trade Center on March 26 and 27. The event will focus on key issues affecting the consumer electronics industry including public policy challenges and consumer related issues. The forum will feature conference sessions and panel discussions, as well as CEA membership division meetings and networking opportunities.
