At this week's InfoComm-06 conference, Canare, a maker of professional cable, connectors and fiber optic broadcast solutions, showed a new series of low-cost BNC connectors for SD-SDI applications.
The 75ohm BCP-PC Series connectors include a longer body, making them easier to grip. They also feature a unique 3-piece crimp design, making assembly and field-replacement a snap.
In addition, both the outer contact and the pin are gold-plated for long-life and excellent transmission accuracy. Models are available for several industry-wide popular cables, with 26dB or less return loss at 1.0GHz and 20dB or less at 1.5GHz.
