Cable Center to Hold Open House

The Cable Center, a non-profit organization designed to promote the cable business, will offer a public glimpse to the latest exhibits and interactive displays at its Denver headquarters during the tenth annual “Cable Days,” Oct. 10-11.

Two exhibits—one honoring the innovations of cable technology and another commemorating the 60th anniversary of the first cable system—will open during the two day public event. An updated “Cable Today and Tomorrow” room will allow visitors to test the latest high-tech voice, video and data products available via broadband. The Cable Center is also updating existing interactive exhibits throughout its building and will feature information on all of The Cable Center’s programs, including the Cable Mavericks, the Cox Customer Experience Management Program, as well as The Cable Center’s Barco Library and its extensive archive. Visitors will also be able to use free computers in “The Hub,” a lounge area on the second floor of the building, sponsored by the industry’s state associations.

The Cable Center will also give visitors attending the Cable Hall of Fame Celebration on Oct. 11 a sneak preview of the design of a new permanent exhibit dedicated to all honorees.
