Thomson said it’s working on an HD upgrade for World Wrestling Entertainment in a deal valued at $12 million. The renovation involves transitioning the WWE’s Stamford, Conn., infrastructure to a file-based workflow.
The new system is based on Thomson Grass Valley’s K2 servers; its Aurora HD production editing system; Kalypso HD switchers; a Trinix HD router; and Kameleon and GeckoFlex conversion modules.
