Bruce Long Appointed CEO of Iconix Video

Iconix Video, the Santa Barbara, Calif. Company that makes tiny hi-def cameras, tapped Bruce Long to be CEO.

Long joins Iconix from National Lampoon, where he was president and chief operating officer as well as executive producer on the forthcoming movie, “National Lampoon’s Bag Boy.” From 2000-05, Long worked at Technicolor Creative Services as executive vice president of strategic planning and business development.

He was also CEO of Ionic Worldwide Studios, an interactive content startup he founded with Mike Medavoy and Troy Bolotnick. In the mid-’90s, he launched two effects companies later acquired by Liberty Media, where he was put in charge of Ascent Media.

Iconix makes the 2.5 ounce HD-RH1F remote camera system.
