Broadcast Pix to demo mobile studio at IBC

Broadcast Pix will exhibit its expanded Slate switcher line in a mobile unit parked inside its booth at IBC in Amsterdam. The company will also debut an HD version of the switcher as well as the Slate 5000, a two M/E live video production system.

The Broadcast Pix OB van is on an extensive European demonstration tour, which includes stops in 27 countries. It shows how a mobile studio can be created with the all the power and functionality typically found in a larger OB van, the company said.

The Broadcast Pix Slate 5000 enables a single operator or small team to economically create live video productions. The standard version of the switcher includes a multiview monitoring system, Inscriber CG, 60-hour clip store and format and aspect converters.

The switcher enables a single operator to run all aspects of a two M/E live HDTV production, including complex graphics, animations, clips and effects, as well as control robotic cameras, audio mixers and video servers.

Three new Slate HD models are also making their IBC debut: the Slate 100 HD, 1000 HD and 3000 HD.
