Broadcast Networks installs broadcast facility for Cosmos TV

Systems integrator Broadcast Networks has completed a major project to equip an entire TV broadcast facility belonging to Romanian broadcaster Cosmos TV.

The new complex in Bucharest includes a five-camera production studio, a four-camera news studio, ingest, a master control room, a central apparatus room and six nonlinear Final Cut Studio editing suites.

Cosmos TV’s production studio and the news studio are both identically equipped with Sony DXC-D55PH video cameras; a DVS-9000 video switcher with four DME and 2.5 ME; Clarity 500 dual-channel CGs; Geevs SDE1 playout servers; Miranda Kaleido X multiview systems that display signal monitoring on four 40in Sony flat-screen monitors; Yamaha DM2000V2 sound consoles; Senheisser wireless microphone systems; and 360 Systems DigiCart/E hard drive sound effects systems.

For the master control room, Broadcast Networks installed an NVISION NV5128-MCPM with compact full control panel and GUI interface. The MCR has external FS feeds and five satellite sources as well as redundant Geevs SDE playout servers with 1000 hours of local storage using AutoRun software for playlist control. Monitoring is supplied by a Miranda Kaleido system.

Cosmos TV’s ingest facility is equipped with a Sony HDXchange central media system with independent audio monitoring and control. The system works with a variety of NLE editing systems, including Apple Final Cut Pro, which is Cosmos TV’s NLE choice for its six edit stations.
