By TVTechnology published
Télévision de Radio-Canada is now using the Omneon Spectrum media server system to distribute its content nationwide.
The French-language broadcast network of CBC/Radio-Canada uses the server system for ingest of program, commercial and promotional material for broadcasts that are distributed across Canada.
The server's six ports ingest material and provide Télévision de Radio-Canada with 300 hours of storage. The Spectrum is controlled by Harris automation gear and is outfitted with a redundant N+1 channel configuration for continuous playout.
Built on open architecture, the modular Omneon Spectrum system is available in a range of configurations for the different needs of facilities.
