The NAB Education Foundation and American Women in Radio and Television are teaming up to host a “think tank” for women media executives. The group will consider strategies for advancing more women into the top ranks of the industry.

FCC Commissioner Deborah Taylor Tate will attend the event, dubbed, “New Directions: Women in Media, the Path to Success.” It’s scheduled for March 13 at NAB headquarters in Washington D.C. The gathering will precede AWRT’s Annual Leadership Conference March 13-15 at the Hilton Washington Embassy Row.

Topics on the deck include career tactics for advancing women to executive roles; techniques for developing the next generation of women and leadership; and redefining leadership in a changing media environment.
