Big Ten Network To Use Wegener Satellite Equipment For Distribution

The Wegener Corporation has announced that the Big Ten Network will use Wegener’s satellite equipment to distribute programming to BTN affiliates.

The Big Ten Network, which will launch in August, is a new cable and satellite service that covers both athletic and academic content of the Big Ten Conference. BTN programming--most of which is in HD--is available in North America to all cable and satellite carriers and television distributors.

The Wegener distribution system includes Unit 4600 satellite receivers. COMPEL network control and COMPEL encryption.
