Starting March 1, as part of its contract with Sprint Nextel to train 2 GHz Relocation stations in digital ENG microwave operation, Azcar Technologies Inc. began a series of single station sessions via satellite. The training covers use of digital transmitters and receivers, receiver signal quality metrics and use of spectrum monitors.
Though the station being trained will have return audio to Azcar to facilitate questions, the satellite feed itself is unencrypted and Azcar invites anyone interested to audit the sessions. Satellite coordinates, schedules and other pertinent information are available online.
