Australia’s Seven Network installs Quantel Newsbox HD to cover Canberra Parliament
By TVTechnology published
The Seven Network, an Australian terrestrial broadcaster, has purchased a Quantel Newsbox HD integrated news production system for its Canberra Parliament House broadcasting operation.
The Newsbox HD in Canberra joins a nationwide network of Quantel systems that support Seven Network’s news and free-to-air operations in Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane. The network said a key reason for choosing the Quantel was it available on a short timetable for installation.
The fou-port system features 85 hours of storage. It also includes Quantel’s sQ Cut editing applications as well as sQ Record and sQ Play controls, making a self-contained news production system from ingest to video/audio editing and playout.
