Arab network selects TSL for new HD sports trucks
Arab Radio and Television Network (ART), based in Amman, Jordan, and one of the largest sports broadcasters in the Middle East, has commissioned systems integrator TSL to equip two new HD production trucks and two associated trailers. ART will use the new all-digital trucks to broadcast the 2007/2008 Saudi Football League in HD to viewers across the world.
The new HD OB units and trailers, which are being built by Spectra Specialist Engineering in Westbury, UK, are 45ft with expanding sides. Each will be equipped for up to 20 HD cameras and will initially be configured with six channels of EVS XT[2] servers, four VTRs, a Grass Valley Kayak HD switcher and a Studer Vista 5 digital audio console. The integrated trailer system will also feature dual redundant generators.
In addition to its systems integration work, TSL also designs, manufactures and sells a range of TSL-branded products.
