Video Technics unveils version 2.7 for Apella video clip server

Video Technics' version 2.7 of the Apella video clip server

Video Technics has introduced version 2.7 of the Apella video clip server with enhanced time delay, instant replay, and certified compatibility with Sony's XDCAM and Panasonic's DVCPRO P2 tapeless acquisition formats.

Updates to the video clip server include:

  • Enhanced time delay and instant replay, which lets an operator play media to air within a few seconds of starting to record. Apella version 2.7 also supports this functionality with low-res proxies for non-volatile editing from anywhere on the network with the VT Proxy Editor application
  • Seamless interoperability between the Apella VCS and Pathfire’s Digital Media Gateway interface
  • VT Archive Printer, an archive solution for digital newsrooms
  • VT Archive Jukebox supports automated archive and retrieval of media with a scalable database of storage
