TWI Interactive, Kangaroo Capital to jointly market Kangaroo.TV

NASCAR fans will be able to use Kangaroo.TV this fall at selected venues. The handheld device was tested at seven NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events this season.

TWI Interactive (TWIi) and Kangaroo Capital are joining forces to broaden the reach of Kangaroo's unique handheld Kangaroo.TV device to fans at live events worldwide. The companies have entered into a three-year services agreement by which TWIi will assist Kangaroo with its roll out strategy to educate fans, promoters and sponsors about how Kangaroo.TV can enhance the fan experience at events like motor sports, golf and tennis.

Kangaroo.TV is a small, bright-yellow device with selectable video, audio and data feeds that transforms the experience of fans at live events by allowing them to interact with the presentation of the event in an unprecedented way. Champ Car race fans in North America have used Kangaroo.TV since its launch in April 2003, and NASCAR fans will be able to use the device this fall at selected venues.

Kangaroo.TV features a four-inch video screen and a push-button interface. Its lightweight case is comfortably worn on a strap around the neck. At motor sports races, fans receive the main television feed and three other camera views: in-car, pit action and replays. They also receive team radio-communication access, live timing and scoring data, as well as behind-the-scenes, event and series information.

TWIi's design and production team will help Kangaroo configure Kangaroo.TV for a wide variety of sports and entertainment applications. It will also advise the company on its strategy for marketing, deployment and growth, and assist Kangaroo in developing partnerships with sports organizations, properties, events, venues and teams.
