The Weather Channel selects Dveous/MX for effects upgrade

Accom's Dveous/MX digital video effects systems

The Weather Channel has purchased two Dveous/MX universal-format digital video effects systems for use in separate production control rooms.

The network plans to enhance the look of its shows with the new standard features available on Dveous/MX. In addition, it will stylize the 3-D map look used on the morning show by implementing Orbital FX, blur, the color corrector and a host of other standard features that were once options on Dveous.

The Dveous/MX is able to route channels, individually or combined across six outputs. The system now provides eight channels of DVE in all SD and HD formats and includes Quad Twin power for Dveous/MX. Existing systems can be upgraded to Quad Twin capabilities.

All Dveous/MXs sets include: UltraWarp, SurfaceFX, SuperShadow, TimeFrame Effects Editor, reTouch color correctors, OrbitalFX, Supermatte, SpiralFX, Target FrameStore, Wide range Defocus and Solid Builder.
