Sharp introduces large LCD in Hong Kong

Sharp-Roxy (Hong Kong) Limited announced the introduction of the LC-45G1H AQUOS 45Vin LCD HDTV, one of the industry's largest LCD models in the Hong Kong market. The new model features a full-spec HD panel of 6.22 million dots (1920Hx1080VxRGB), the highest of its kind in the market.

This LCD panel is developed in Sharp's Kameyama Plant in Japan. It an integrated LCD TV production facility that manages the entire manufacturing process, from LCD panel production to final product assembly. This plant marks a milestone in LCD TV production in the industry in terms of product quality and functionality. With an investment of more than 100 billion Yen, and a site area that reaches 330,000m, the production facility commenced operation in January 2004. This plant uses sixth generation large-format 1800mm×1500mm substrates, and its production capacity reaches 27,000 LCD panels and 100,000 large-screen LCD TV panels per month.

The new AQUOS LC-45G1H uses one of the industry's largest LCD panel. The display features a 6.22 million-dot panel – the highest-level resolution in the industry. As terrestrial digital TV broadcasting begins and coverage areas expand, the LC-45G1H panel will enable users to enjoy perfect HDTV broadcasts on an HD large screen.

The brand new AQUOS "G" Series is equipped with Sharp's proprietary Advanced Super View Black TFT LCD panels and the enhanced AQUOS platform to deliver HDTV high-resolution images.
