Nextel to deliver 2GHz relocation presentation at NAB2005

Engineers and technicians grappling with the ongoing re-banding of ENG equipment will want to leave time open to attend a special briefing at NAB2005.

Nextel, which is financially responsible for the costs of relocating Broadcast Auxiliary Service (BAS) licensees, will sponsor a presentation about the topic from 3:30p.m. - 4 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, at the NAB convention in Las Vegas.

The event will include a presentation from Michael Degitz, vice president of Nextel Spectrum Resources, and Cindy Hutter, director of Nextel Broadcast Engineering. They will provide background information and discuss transitioning from the current to the new channel plan. The session will conclude with Q&A from the audience.

The company is also sponsoring a reception with NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series driver Jeremy Mayfield Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to noon, April 20, at the Nextel Central Monorail Station.
