The CAT5 VDS broadcasts high-resolution computer video over CAT5 cable to multiple display stations. In addition, it allows broadcasters to place the remote display stations up to 110m/360ft away from the source.
The new product supports high-resolution video, 1600x1200 at 75Hz, and features real-time screen transfer without loss of screen quality, as well as low density cabling that is easy to install.
A few of the practical applications for the CAT5 VDS include giving real-time arrival/departure updates to passengers at airports, train stations and bus stations; providing stock and exchange rate updates at stock exchanges and banks; broadcasting entertainment or news in stores, restaurants, trains and planes; and broadcasting a PowerPoint presentation to personal monitors of colleagues in conference rooms or boardrooms.
