The Link Research L1403 delivers HD wireless camera transmission.

Link Research showed its L1403 wireless transmitter for high-definition television, part of a new wireless camera system called LinkHD, at NAB2005.

The Link 1403 is part of an end-to-end HD, which operates without converting the camera signal to SD for downconverting and back to HD for upconverting.

The system offers almost imperceptible transmission delay allowing feeds from wireless cameras to be edited with feeds from cabled cameras. It also uses a diversity reception transmitter and Link’s MPEG encoding technology.

The bit rate is between 18- and 50Mb/s. The unit operates in HQ mode or rugged mode, with a bandwidth of 20MHz or 10MHz.
