The FiberPlex LightViper VIS-1832 fiber-optic audio snake was used during the live broadcast of pre-game and half-time entertainment at last month’s 72nd Annual FedEx Orange Bowl at Dolphins Stadium in Miami.
The FiberPlex LightViper VIS-1832 consists of a traditional and highly compact 32 X 8 audio input stage box and a complementary 1RU rack unit Model VIM-1832 located at the main house audio mixing position. Connecting these components is done with a military specification fiber optic cable weighing less than 2lbs per 100ft.
LightViper’s fiber-optic cable offers total signal path isolation between stage and mixer as well as between the stage and all splits.
