Front Porch Digital deploys archive management systems in India, the Netherlands and Portugal

Front Porch Digital’s DIVArchive has been selected by SIC, Sony, CIRIS, Shaf and Amrita for content management system deployments.

DIVArchive is a software middleware that enables interoperability between large digital media storage devices, video servers, editing systems, and digital media workflow applications.

Located in India, Amrita Television is a fully integrated entertainment television broadcast company and a wholly owned division of the Amrita Enterprises. Shaf Broadcast, as prime contractor for Amrita Television, conducted a workflow analysis, designed the system, and helped Amrita select Front Porch Digital. This deployment is Front Porch Digital’s first installation in India.

A second installation by CNBC-TV 18 expands Front Porch’s customer base in India.

Netherlands post-production facility CIRIS will implement a centrally shared digital video archive with Shaf Broadcast and Amrita TV to deploy a digital video archive for Amrita TV.

SIC will implement Front Porch’s software system in partnership with Sony for its central archiving solution in Lisbon, Portugal. SIC is part of the IMPRESA group, Portugal’s largest media company. The system will manage a Sony Petasite robot library equipped with SAIT-1 tape drives. Content will be moved into and out of the archive to Omneon Spectrum video servers for playout material delivery. The system is controlled and managed by an automation system from Encoda and a media asset management application from Arkemedia.
