Extron launches new line of multi-rate serial digital matrix switchers

The HDXP Plus 3216 and HDXP Plus 3232 can rout all SMPTE and ITU standard serial digital video signals.

Extron Electronics has introduced the HDXP Plus Series, a line of multi-rate serial digital matrix switchers. Available in 32 x 16 and 32 x 32 I/O sizes, the HDXP Plus 3216 and HDXP Plus 3232 are capable of routing all SMPTE and ITU standard serial digital video signals, including SMPTE 259M and SMPTE 344M component SDI up to 540Mb/s, SMPTE 292M single-link HD-SDI up to 1.485Gb/s, and SMPTE 372M dual-link HD-SDI up to 2.97Gp/s.

Features include full input equalization and output reclocking, input preview mode with a dedicated output, and I/O grouping. The HDXP Plus 3232 also has two reference inputs that accept bi-level and tri-level sync for genlocked applications.

The HDXP Plus Series can be controlled via RS-232 or Extron's IP Link Ethernet control. To ensure continuous operations, Extron's DSVP Digital Sync Validation Processing provides verification of both input data rates and reclocked output data rates, through RS-232 and IP links.
