CNN to use NASDAQ monitor wall as backdrop for election night coverage

Using the backdrop of a 96-monitor video wall at the NASDAQ MarketSite, CNN will produce its coverage of election night results from the stock exchange’s broadcast studio in the heart of Times Square in New York City.

Serving as the CNN election night headquarters, the NASDAQ MarketSite will be transformed into a political backdrop to illustrate vote totals. The Atlanta-based news network will use the MarketSite as its central location to provide live updates on election results. The election night coverage will be displayed on the MarketSite studio video wall and will be sorted by candidate and state. The NASDAQ Tower, one of the largest stationary video screens in the world, will project the coverage live in Times Square.

NASDAQ's MarketSite studio is a state-of-the-art broadcast facility that provides a dynamic backdrop against which representatives from listed companies daily celebrate the market opening and for business reporters to conduct market reports.

The NASDAQ video wall in the studio has a split-level design and is composed of 96 high-resolution multimedia screens used to illustrate stock movements and performance graphs. For CNN’s election night coverage, NASDAQ broadcast professionals, technicians and wall operators will be supporting the network’s staff onsite.
