Big Screen Network Productions deploys displays at Rose Bowl

The Vizrt/Trio 3-D graphics system is being used to create the displays seen on the Rose Bowl’s video board.

Major sporting events and venues continue to present some of the most sought after opportunities to display digital advertisements. Big Screen Network Productions and Vizrt are trying to cash in at one of Southern California’s most storied stadiums.

During the Rose Bowl National Championship Game between the University of Texas and USC at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA, earlier this year, a crowd of 94,000 spectators watched a display of 3-D animated graphics on the stadium video board designed and created by Big Screen Network Productions using a Vizrt Viz|Trio 3-D graphics system.

Big Screen Network Productions, which has produced video board and stadium entertainment for the last 21 Super Bowls and 3 Olympic Games, purchased the Vizrt Viz|Trio on behalf of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, hosts of the popular annual New Year’s parade and game. The Viz|Trio purchase was part of an initial capital investment in new equipment — including a Thomson Grass Valley Kayak switcher, and a Sound and Video Creations Video Click Effects system — to help upgrade the look and efficiency of the show.
