Shoppers at supermarkets and multi-department stores owned by Kroger will view ABC commercials and other content as part of their shopping experience. Consumers will be exposed to unique ABC content and messaging on checkout monitors at Kroger chains such as Kroger Marketplace, Ralph’s, Fred Meyer, Food 4 Less, King Soopers, City Markets, Smith’s and Smith’s Marketplace, Fry’s and Fry’s Marketplace, Dillons and QFC stores around the country.
ABC’s agreement, which was made with In-Store Broadcasting Network (IBN), will ensure its tune-in promotional spots will run on IBN’s Perfect Media TV network through 2009.
As a charter partner, ABC has exclusive rights to deliver its messages and made-for-store video content to Kroger stores in which IBN exclusively provides in-store media.
IBN Perfect Media combines overhead audio with multiple video channels inside a store to deliver synchronized, informative content for shoppers. The Perfect Media network can deliver content to specific zip codes, designated market areas (DMAs) and individual stores, thereby allowing ABC to present its messages to shoppers locally, regionally and nationally.
