3M Digital Signage has released version 2.0 of its Fred Network software. The software distributes media files, schedules playlists, and monitors a network of digital signs from any Internet-connected computer.
Changes to Fred Network include an enhanced user interface, functional improvements such as improved player hard drive management, and optional content services that optimize network performance. For example, users now have the option of storing large content files on in-house or local servers and can schedule live feeds.
Current users of Fred Network 1.1 will receive automatic upgrades and see these improvements the next time they log in.
