2C Visual introduces multimedia triggered by consumer movement

2C Visual Communications has introduced the diVA-integrated system that relies on a customer’s physical movement to trigger attention-grabbing experiences such as lighting effects, sound, smoke machines or moving props. In addition, plasma and LCD screens within proximity of the customer can play customized multimedia messaging relating to the experience as it unfolds.

The technology is based on the assumption that the shopper’s physical movement towards a product indicates interest. diVA integrates motion detectors, RFID readers and other devices, and is powered by Scala's InfoChannel software. Retailers can change, and use diVA as a dedicated video kiosk.
