Volicon to unveil four new Observer productivity modules

At IBC2007, Volicon will add four productivity modules to its Observer product line to streamline TV station marketing and operations workflows.

The modules include:

  • The enhanced search engine module, which lets users put their fingers on transmitted broadcast material through a powerful new search engine;
  • The closed-captioning text search module, which uses a powerful index-based search engine;
  • The quality control monitoring module, which eliminates the need for manual monitoring to ensure a broadcast signal is on the air and instantly notifies users of any interruption;
  • The ad verification and video affidavit module, which provides access to transmitted ads and proof of airing.

The company will also showcase the Volicon Observer RPM 800, the latest addition to the remote program monitoring family. It offers the functionality of the RPM 200 and RPM 400 and increases the system's channel scanning to a rate of 72 channels per minute, or the equivalent of cable operators' complete channel lineup within five minutes.
