Telestream’s version 6.0 software for its FlipFactory transcoding workflow automation products adds support for mobile video creation, among other new capabilities.
FlipFactory v6.0 includes a new H.264 encoder, allowing mobile H.264 video, HD or SD, to be created within transport stream, program stream and M4V wrappers. Additional capabilities include simultaneous encoding while ingesting from tape with Telestream’s new Pipeline network encoder, support for HD commercial and syndication workflows, a new screen subtitle option for open subtitling, auto-publishing of metadata with media to more video-sharing Web sites, and integrated 2-pass Flash encoding. The Pipeline encoder can encode real-time SDI to MPEG-2, DV and IMX, and also provides playout to SDI.
