Sundance Automation drives Splash Media networks

Splash Media of Addison, TX, has selected Sundance Digital’s FastBreak NXT Automation system for its new Success Training Network (TSTN). It’s the company’s second Fastbreak system. Another has been in use since last year for Splash Media’s Traders’ Television Network (TTV). Both networks run the systems on a 24/7 basis.

Splash Media said the FastBreak Automation systems allowed them to operate with about one-third of the staff that would be needed for a typical comparative operation.

The Sundance Digital configuration at Splash Media incorporates Sundance Digital’s News Recorder software. The option allows both networks to repurpose their live daytime programming for unattended, overnight, server-based playback and, if required, different commercial spots between program segments. News Recorder also creates full-resolution clips used for post-production work.

FastBreak drives a Miranda PresStation master control switcher, Vertigo CG graphics configuration, a Grass Valley Profile XP video server system and a Ross Synergy 2 production switcher.
