Stations turn to FOR-A video stabilizer for tower cam use

Several TV stations have recently selected FOR-A’s IVS-100 video stabilizer to stabilize images from tower camera systems that capture live weather, traffic and beauty shots.

All of the units were sold through Lamar Systems in Tulsa, OK. The stations included: KGUN-TV in Tucson, AZ; Global Television Networks in Burnaby, British Columbia; WRTV-TV in Indianapolis; WSLS-TV in Roanoke, VA; Media General Television and the Journal Broadcast Group.

The IVS-100 electronically corrects video shaking that occurs during live camera usage as well as unsteadiness on pre-recorded VCR tapes. The IVS-100’s compact size and functionality make the unit well suited for the field.

The IVS-100 can correct unsteadiness while automatically recognizing panning and zooming and can correct up to 40 percent in vertical or horizontal directions in relation to the screen. The IVS-100 provides sub-pixel level correction precision.
